Online system for mandated reporters is now available

Under Michigan’s Child Protection Law, mandated reporters can now submit reports of suspected abuse or neglect online, instead of making an oral report.
MDHHS employees who report child abuse or neglect can register to use the Online Reporting System by requesting access for “Mi Bridges for Mandated Reporters” in MILogin. Please review this registration guide for instructions.
This online option will make reporting easier for mandated reporters and MDHHS employees who may find it difficult to call the Centralized Intake hotline. Additionally, if the report of suspected child abuse or neglect has been made through the online reporting system, instead of the hotline, no additional written report (DHS-3200) is required.
Additional benefits of submitting a complaint online include: the option of submitting a complaint anytime from anywhere with internet access, including mobile devices; saving the reporter’s information so future reports are more quickly completed; no hold time on the hotline; the ability to attach documents and photos to the complaint; the ability to save and resume in-progress complaints; automatic email reminders and receipts; and a dashboard that retains previously submitted complaints.
The Centralized Intake phone hotline will still be available and fully staffed for those who prefer to call in their report.
